This series is exploring an island soul. At the heart of Sri Lanka, the railway runs between Nuwara Eliya and Ella. Hypnotized by the rails, I walk into a path of motion and life. Here I come across schoolgirls, workers, people bathing in the river or carrying an armchair. In this piece of jungle, sliced by steel, reigns a rare tranquility. These characters are deliberately photographed from afar in order to not disturb the lifetime. Behind the image, the story begins.
